Minimally invasive procedures
Minimally invasive procedures, including total knee replacement, have several benefits over traditional surgery. According to studies cited by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, minimally invasive orthopedic procedures can result in less blood loss, shorter hospital stays and better range of motion.
State-of-the-art operating suites
The Center for Orthopedic Specialties is located on our Benedictine Hospital Campus, which was recently lauded by Consumer Reports for having a perfect record in preventing central line infections in an annual study. Our two new operating suites accommodate specialty-sized operating equipment, with the latest arthroscopic video equipment.
Specialized continuum of care
Our team of board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeons, and experienced nurses, physical therapists and technicians provides compassionate, individualized patient care for our orthopedic patients. We are committed to getting our patients back to the quality of life that they deserve.
Every Monday from noon to 1 p.m., our orthopedic coordinator and a physical therapist hold a Total Joint Replacement Class on our Benedictine Hospital Campus. The session covers what to expect before, during, and after a total joint replacement. With a full understanding of their procedure, our patients can be confident about every step.
